Industrial Visit to ResMed. This event will provide the paticipants a complete manufacturing tour at ResMed (Macquarie Park). One on one interaction with the experienced executive engineers (EE) at the industry. An chance to discuss career opportunities and internship possibilities. Talent acquisition and grad program discussion. Eventually detailed description on how to lodge interest in ResMed.

Jeff Armitstead of ResMed

 Jeff Armitstead: Vice President – Clinical Science & Innovation at ResMed.

Jeff Armitstead holds degrees in electrical engineering from the Queensland University of Technology and medical engineering from the University of NSW and has over 20 years’ experience in respiratory medical devices, both in industry and academia. He currently leads a team in Sydney running early phase research and clinical trials. He also teaches at the UNSW and at the University of Sydney where he holds an adjunct position. Dr. Armitstead also convenes the medXcloud expert group which aims to improve the lives of patients using insights from real world data in respiratory medicine.

David Boehm of ResMed

Introduction and Career Opportunities (Manufacturing Tour)

David Boehm is a Lead Electrical Engineer whom is currently working in Sleep Devices Product Development. David Boehm studied electrical engineering at UNSW. His first position was in the audio industry designing custom live and commercial audio equipment. After this he moved into avionic displays, and finally into the medical devices space where he helped develop ResMed’s AirSense10 and AirMini devices. Currently David specialises in cellular and RF technologies which enable ResMed’s devices to connect to their cloud servers
