IEEE Atlanta PES Meeting/Luncheon - Transformer Efficiency – 2016 DOE Mandate

Share

The Atlanta Chapter of the IEEE Power & Energy Society will be hosting its next technical luncheon on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at noon. The topic will be "Transformer Efficiency – 2016 DOE Mandate". We will be honored to have Schneider Electric's Jim Antweiler and Janice Fuller!

The power industry goes to a flurry of changes every year and 2016 will be no different. According to the United States' Department of Energy, beginning in 2016, newly amended energy efficiency standards for distribution transformers will save up to $12.9 billion in total costs to consumers — ultimately saving families and businesses money while also reducing energy consumption. The new distribution transformer standards will also save 3.63 quadrillion British thermal units of energy for equipment sold over the 30-year period of 2016 to 2045. What does this mean!!!? The IEEE PES Atlanta chapter would like to clarify your questions during our next technical luncheon of the year which will occur on Tuesday, May 12th, 2015 where we will be honored to have Mr. Jim Antweiler from Square D and Ms. Janice Fuller from Schneider Electric as our speakers!
