Cognitive Computing and the Customer Experience: The good, the bad and the future possibilities

Major players such as IBM Watson are marketing the technology of the future. This talk will investigate and describe the good, bad and ugly of incorporating machine learning into businesses' customer experience. Using my own experience with a start-up company focused on exploiting machine learning to enhance customer service, and drawing on other leading thoughts in the industry, I will discuss what can really be expected at this point in time and what can we look forward to in the future.

Biography:

Ryan Lund is the CEO of Cerebri, focusing on machine learning products and service to enhance consumer experience, while increasing revenue and decreasing costs of the businesses they serve. Previously an Implementation Director at one of the premier EMR Software companies in the United States, Ryan oversaw software development and implementations across the United States.  Ryan graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B. S. in Economics, and with minors in Mathematics, Statistics and Management.

The Consultants Network meets monthly. Except when meeting jointly with other groups, the Consultants Network meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Meetings usually begin with informal networking from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m., followed by presentations from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. by experts in technology, marketing, sales, advertising, financial or legal needs of small businesses and special needs of consultants.
