Biography:

Matt Nowick is the Founder and President of Brew Data. Matt is instrumental in developing and marketing Brew Data's suite of sensors, control system hardware, and SCADA software tailored to the microbrewery market. Originally from Colorado, he became an avid home brewer while participating in a junior year abroad program in Norwich, England and earned a BSEE from the University of Colorado in Boulder. In Colorado he worked for seven years developing control and monitoring systems for a variety of scientific instruments for NOAA. He has participated in sea, air, and land based scientific missions in the US, Antarctica, Chile, and Canada. After moving from Colorado to Iowa he developed neuo-modulation products for a venture capital funded medical device company. His career continued to progress at Rockwell Collins where he learned how to develop RF and mixed signal integrated circuits from some of the most professional designers in the industry. In 2013 he combined his passions for brewing and electrical engineering to form Brew Data – a company formed to bring affordable innovations to the brewing industry helping make better beer. Always happy to hear an interesting story over a good pint, he can be contacted at matt@brew-data.com.
